The richness of repertoire

During the winter months, Het Collectief has been invited to present its repertoire on various stages in Belgium and the Netherlands.
From our CD recording Transfigurations, we selected for Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht, among others, the magnificent Transfigured Night by Arnold Schönberg.
For the Haarlem audience, we will perform Olivier Messiaen’s haunting and still highly relevant Quatuor pour la fin du temps, taking them back to the wartime year 1941.
In Liège, with Zoltán Kodály’s duo and György Ligeti’s horn trio, we highlight the richness and originality of Hungarian modern chamber music.
De Kern in Wilrijk has opted for a programme in which we contrast the romantic piano trios of Robert Schumann with the hyper-expressive avant-garde of Wolfgang Rihm.
